A babe and turbulent flights: going interstate for the D!

Knock! Knock!!

Who’s there!

Miss Rona,

Miss Rona??

as in Corona πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Hi guysssssssss, it’s been agesssssssss, *more like 5 months tho, Oreos stop exaggerating* πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘πŸ˜‘ and through and through i feel you guys deserve explanations, well aside the gists #rollseyes. Well if you want to know what’s up kindly wait for it in the next blog post 😚 whiunnnnnn.

These days guys, these days i find myself reminiscing on

my travel days, mostly inter state trips and a little sprinkle of international travel *the purpose of which i refuse to divulge* πŸ˜’πŸ˜’πŸ˜’ and oh shhhh. Don’t tell my mum. She doesn’t know. She will kill me. No jokes. She is Yoruba.

Maybe its due to the Rona, or just the mere fact that summer is upon us in May and the possibilities of travelling for summer this year are quite slim, very, very, slim 😭😭😭

I was scrolling through my twitter feed today and i saw a tweet that asked a particular important question. It said: “how far have you ever travelled or how far are you willing to travel to smash?” 😫😫😫.

Duhn

Dhun

Dhun (dramatic hollywood soundtrack in background πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚).

For those of us who don’t actually know the meaning of smashing (i actually don’t πŸ˜’ just in case my Yoruba mother is reading this ) or pretend not to know what smashing means guess what!

You don’t belong hereeeeeee, get off this trainnnn, or wait… it a page.

*Soooo for the rest of us left here* this current global lockdown situation around the world made me sympathise with people in long distance relationships (i am on this table oh. Chai) and this tweet refreshed my memory taking me back to a particular story a “friend” told me and i in turn will be sharing it with you today, so buckle up its story timeeeeeee.

Apparently, “my friend” who was/is involved in a long distance relationship had to keep up the drill. In order to see her significant other and keep the fire of love going *raaaaaaaar* they both had to get out their ID’s and take frequent interstate trips by airrrrrr. (Just a kind reminder that Nigerian local flight ain’t shit but in my opinion after Arik book Dana, thank me later boooo).

One one of such trips it happened that the local airline had a crash scare πŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒπŸ™ƒ, believe you me if you have ever been in this situation you can sooooo relate!!! All manner of life and death questions gets thrown at you and flashes through your mind and it starts to feel like you are having a revisit of all the times you could have done better πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚.

I can only imagine her being like- haaaa so if i die like this nobody will know where i am for like at least one week? So last last i won’t be buried? Will this man even morn me for a year if i die here? It was absolutely hilarious but in a not funny way.

According to her Nigerian’s on the flight were being Nigerian’s screaming at the flight attendants and praying- let’s just say no 30 minutes had mattered more than that period (oh maybe except when she had her B.sc project defence or emmm maybe while waiting for a “particular” test result or ….. you get. It was one of those moments).

But luckily for them. Nothing. Happened πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ€— they landed well with some of them having urine patches and soon to be a thing chronic PTSD *life changing experience whoooooo*

As if this wasn’t enough to scare my friend guess what?

Two months after this incidence she still made another trip for the D! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ in her words “everybody go die one day, if this is how God said i will go who am i” (trust me God was/is so not involved 😫😫😫).

Soooooo guys, tell me i want to know, how far have you gone or are you willing to go for the D? some people i know have been as deep as travelling internationally for the D!!! *screaming* let’s talk, let’s rub mind together since we obviously can’t rub hands #social distancing #remember to wash your hands guysssss.
